A recent study by luxury villa rental company Cabo Villa Vegas Dave has crowned Miami as the Sunshine State’s “Fine Dining Capital” this Christmas.
The research analyzed the volume of 3+ star-rated fine dining restaurants in the 15 most populated Florida cities using TripAdvisor. Comparing restaurant density to each city’s land area revealed the top cities for gourmet holiday meals.
Miami leads the way
Miami claims the top spot with an impressive one fine dining restaurant every 0.4 square miles. The city features 102 highly rated restaurants within its 35.87 square miles, including popular spots like House of Food Porn, The Capital Grille, and Zuma Miami.
Fort Lauderdale ranks second with a luxury dining density of one restaurant every 0.9 square miles. Its 38 fine dining establishments, such as Steak 954 and Casa D’Angelo Ristorante, make it a hotspot for food enthusiasts.
Orlando rounds out the top three with 78 star-rated fine dining restaurants—one for every 1.3 square miles. Notable venues include the Michelin-certified Bacán and Victoria & Albert’s.
