Jamaica’s motorsport trailblazer Sara Misir is set to dazzle on a new stage as she makes her high-profile watersports debut with Team Blue Rising in Season 2 of the E1 Series, the ground-breaking, all-electric race boat championship.
Co-owned by Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli and visionary sports-tech entrepreneur Adi K. Mishra, Team Blue Rising is part of an elite roster of celebrity-backed teams in the E1 Series. This global spectacle features icons like Will Smith, Tom Brady, Didier Drogba, and Rafael Nadal, ensuring it remains a star-studded showcase of innovation and athleticism.
The adrenaline-charged championship begins January 25, 2025, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. At its heart are the state-of-the-art RaceBirds, sleek electric boats designed to combine speed and sustainability, redefining watersports for a new era.
Misir will pair up with renowned American watersports legend John Peeters, whose staggering record includes over 65 world records and 19 championships. Together, the dynamic duo aims to propel Team Blue Rising to victory while captivating fans with their electric performances.
A new horizon for a decorated athlete

Sara Misir’s journey is defined by her relentless pursuit of excellence across disciplines. Initially a Junior equestrian champion for Jamaica, she pivoted to motorsports, where she earned acclaim with a top-10 finish in the Florida Winter Tour in 2018. Her prowess continued to shine on the international stage, competing in the prestigious GT Cup Championships in the UK in 2022 and 2023. Most recently, she cemented her legacy as the first female MP4 Class Champion in the JRDC series at Dover Raceway.

The 2025 UIM E1 World Championships will span seven thrilling legs, culminating in an electrifying finale on November 7 and 8 in Miami.
