Iconic reggae band Inner Circle, known as the “Bad Boys of Reggae,” will host a special event honoring Rohan Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, and members of Toots and The Maytals on Wednesday, January 29.
The private gathering will take place at Circle House Studios in Miami to celebrate and promote reggae music.
The event, running from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., will feature appearances by Inner Circle, Rohan Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, and members of Toots and The Maytals. Reggae Ambassadors Third World, including Kumar Fyah, are also slated to perform. Guests will enjoy complimentary bites provided by Golden Krust and beverages courtesy of J.F. Haden’s Craft Liqueurs, founded by Maurkice and Mike Pouncey.
As part of their mission to “Make Reggae Irie Again,” Inner Circle is dedicating February, internationally recognized as Reggae Month, to honoring the genre’s cultural and spiritual roots. The month-long celebration will feature events highlighting Jamaican artists, businesses, and entrepreneurs in South Florida cities, including Fort Lauderdale, Miramar, Plantation, and Davie. Additional details about these events will be revealed during the January 29 gathering.
“We feel reggae is looking for the essence of its spiritual and cultural ethnicity,” said Ian Lewis, founder of Inner Circle. “We want to keep the universal message of love and reach people from the heart. Let’s bring back the essence and Make Reggae Irie Again.”
Reggae Month returns
Reggae Month, first celebrated in Jamaica in 2008 by the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA), continues to be a platform for showcasing the genre’s enduring global influence.
Inner Circle, a Grammy Award-winning band famous for hits like Bad Boys and Sweat, is celebrating 56 years in the reggae industry. Brothers Ian and Roger Lewis, South Florida residents and the group’s founders, have built a legacy of love, resilience, and cultural preservation. As part of their 2025 plans, Inner Circle will release a new album titled Reality.
This exclusive event is a testament to Inner Circle’s dedication to reggae’s roots and its vibrant future.
