LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Lauderhill police are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Monday along Northwest 54th Avenue. According to authorities, a group of teenagers arrived at the scene with the intent to start a fight with residents who were already present.
At some point during the confrontation, police said someone pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking a woman. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine who fired the weapon and the motive behind the shooting.
