MIRAMAR, Fla. Miramar police are investigating a shooting that took place Monday morning at a Walgreens. Authorities confirmed that officers responded to reports of shots fired inside the store, where they discovered one customer had shot another.
Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss stated, “There was a dispute between two customers, and it appears one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other.”
Investigators reported that the victim, later identified as 27-year-old Anthony Souvenir, was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition after being shot in front of several employees and customers, including small children, who were inside the Walgreens when the shots were fired. Despite efforts to save him, Souvenir was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss stated, “There were other customers inside. We are talking to them.” He added, “We’ve also brought in a social worker to ensure they’re okay, as witnessing something like this can be a deeply traumatic experience for anyone who was just trying to run an errand.”

Cellphone video from the scene showed multiple people standing and sitting outside the Walgreens, which had been entirely cordoned off with crime scene tape. Detectives were seen questioning witnesses to determine the events that led to the shooting.
Later, police announced the arrest of 28-year-old Jaime Taylor in connection with the incident. The investigation is still open and ongoing as authorities continue to gather information
