Broward Health Opens New COVID-19 Test Site in Lauderhill As Cases Approach 2,500

BROWARD COUNTY – As the number of confirmed cases in Broward County approach 2,500, the county has opened another drive-thru testing site.

The site is located at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium at 3700 N.W. 11th Place in Lauderhill.

Those who have pre-registered for appointments will be able to drive through and get swabbed from their cars. Those who walk in or drive up without registration will not be screened.

To schedule a time to be tested, patients must have a written script from a physician and then call the Broward Health line at (954) 320-5730 to register.

Patients who don’t have a primary care physician can access Broward Heath’s new BHealthy Now app, where they can get a virtual health screening from a board-certified physician from home. The physicians on call will screen patients, assign risk, answer questions and recommend next steps, such as prescribing a COVID-19 screening.

To register for a BHealthy Now virtual screening, visit BrowardHealth.org/COVIDApp for instructions on how to download the app and connect with physicians. The app can also be downloaded directly from the app store by searching for “Amwell.” To find the Broward Health COVID practice, enter the service key “BROWARD” during or after enrollment.

Residents can also visit the other two test sites in Broward at the C.B. Smith Park and the Krupa Center.
The C.B. Smith Park’s site is only open for first responders who are symptomatic of COVID-19, those who are 65 and over, and people who meet the testing criteria.
The other site at the Krupa Center is appointment only. People can call the hotline at 954-659-5951 to schedule a test.
As of April 8, Broward County has 2,358 confirmed cases and 58 deaths.
