Jesse Royal Drops ‘Multi-Genre Inspired’ Reggae Album

The wait is over. Jesse Royal’s much anticipated second album ‘Royal’ is out now. The 11 track production released on June 11 by Easy Star records, takes listeners on a journey of truthful insights, fused with beats of colorful reggae splendor.

The album opens with the soul-reaching, ‘High Tide’ featuring Samory I. Jesse starts off quoting profoundly, “a fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his own opinion”, which puts the listener in a moment of pause, reflecting quickly, before the beat leads into a hip hop, jazz intermixed set, positioning the tone for ‘Royal’s’ lyrically uncharted and rhythmically diverse intrigue.

Jesse explains, “on this album, you will hear elements of hip-hop, jazz, blues, Afrobeats and dancehall but reggae is the backbone that holds everything in place. We can’t run from the authentic energy and vibes bestowed upon us by the Most High because that is what makes us great; there are things that you learn along the way, but greatness is when you know yourself.”

The reggae star has been promoting the release of ‘Royal’ with the recent release of music videos for ‘Rich Forever’ featuring Vybz Kartel and shortly after ‘Dirty money’ done with Stone Bwoy.

With empowering songs like ‘Black’, eye-opening ballad-inspired lyrics from ‘Home’, and the fun upbeat pop-inclined track ‘Like Dat’ featuring multi-talented producer Runkus;  ‘Royal’ is a must-listen-to body of work.
