Jamaican dancehall artiste Spice said that the post made earlier this week, which appeared to be that of a baby bump, was a representation of the rebirth she has undergone over the past six months since she was hospitalized.
The artiste said the photo was not a publicity stunt promoting music, nor confirmation of pregnancy.
This was revealed during her Instagram live on Friday when she described her experience in a Dominican Republic hospital, where she had to undergo emergency surgery for a hernia repair and sepsis.
She also shared photos and told her ‘besties’ that this is her second life after she came so close to death while giving thanks to God.
Spice, whose real name is Grace Hamilton, also announced that she released a song on Friday called ‘God Bless Me’. The song is on all streaming platforms and her video is available on YouTube.
She expressed her excitement for her new journey and invited her followers to join her on her new path.
She also said that her shows will resume, including in the Cayman Islands next week, New York on April 8, and Jamaica and Bermuda.
She shared too that she is also considering doing a gospel album, and said that she has a reggae song coming out next week.
