Who We Are
Caribbean National Weekly (CNW) is the oldest independently produced publication serving the vibrant and ever-growing Caribbean American community in South Florida.
For the past 20 years we have distributed our weekly newspaper at key locations in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. Over the period we’ve only ever missed four of our weekly newspapers, twice due to hard-hitting hurricanes that shook South Florida to its core.
Today, we also run a robust Caribbean American news website that serves up a daily dose of the most important stories from the Caribbean and throughout the diaspora. We are also proud to say that our team of journalists, which include both seasoned and young professionals, collectively bring with them over 150 years of experience.
Our goal at CNW is to connect, educate, elevate, and shine a light on our Caribbean and Caribbean American sisters and brothers throughout the Caribbean, the United States, and around the world.

The Caribbean National Weekly provides the most valuable information on topics that are of particular interest to the community. It is a weekly publication targeted and distributed to English and French speaking Caribbean and African-American residents, businesses, colleges, churches, libraries and others who want to reach or communicate with this growing and affluent consumer group. Every Thursday our newspaper is distributed free of charge in strategic areas throughout South Florida.
