Florida police release audio of Jamaican woman reportedly confessing to killing daughter

The 911 recording from the call made by 24-year-old Jamaican, Jellisa Baxter, who reportedly killed her three-year-old daughter, has been released by Florida authorities.

The recording was released following Tuesday’s event.

The mother, who is from the Frankfield, Clarendon, Jamaica was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse.

A 22-second snippet of the recording captured the conversation between the 911 dispatcher and the Jamaican woman. The young mother reported that she “strangled her (daughter) at first, but when that didn’t work, she stabbed her in the chest and neck.”

Bond was denied when she appeared in court on Wednesday.
