Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Announces Phased Reopening

As the long and emotional recovery process continues for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (Parkland) community, the following is the latest information regarding the school’s phased reopening for students and staff: 

  • Marjory Stoneman Douglas High staff members will return to the school this Friday, February 23, 2018, at 8 a.m. The day is dedicated to meeting staff members’ needs, with a variety of support services available on campus.
  • A voluntary campus orientation for all students and their parents/guardians will take place on Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 2 – 5 p.m. A variety of support services will available on campus for those in need.
  • The Broward School District’s goal is for classes to resume at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High on a modified schedule on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

The reopening events are only open to Marjory Stoneman Douglas students, parents/guardians and staff.  Broward County Public Schools appreciates the support of our entire community during this phased reopening process.
