The Embassy of Jamaica in Washington, D.C., will open a ‘Book of Condolences’ for public signature in honor of former Ambassador of Jamaica the Hon Anthony Johnson, OJ.
The former Member of Parliament and father of Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, passed away on April 28, 2021.
He served as Jamaica’s chief envoy to the United States and representative to the Organization of American States from 2008 to 2010, when he was appointed Jamaica’s High Commissioner to London.
The late Ambassador Anthony Johnson will be accorded an official memorial service, which will be held on Thursday, May 27.
Those wishing to sign can visit the embassy’s 1520 New Hampshire Avenue address from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on May 25-26. An electronic version will also be made available for those who are unable to visit the embassy.
