Jamaican Consulate invites nominations for Diaspora Honour Roll

Jamaica’s Consul General to the Southern United States, Oliver Mair, is inviting nominations for the Honour Roll of Jamaicans in the Southern U.S., which will recognize outstanding community contributions by members of the Jamaican Diaspora.

The honorees will be celebrated at the upcoming Diaspora Awards Ceremony as part of holiday festivities, with the date and location to be announced soon.

This recognition program celebrates Jamaicans who have made a significant impact on their communities and supported Jamaica’s development. “It is fitting when we recognize our local unsung heroes, celebrating stories of vision, courage, and accomplishments,” Consul General Mair stated.

Nomination forms are available on the Consulate General’s website, www.jamaicacgmiami.org, and must be submitted by Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Submissions can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to the Consulate General of Jamaica, 44 West Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33130.

Nominees may be recognized for contributions in areas such as law, healthcare, public service, philanthropy, social services, business, youth leadership, the arts, and education.
