Haitian hitmaker J.Perry slated for Afro-Carib Festival this Saturday

On Saturday, February 25th, J.Perry will be joining Reggae superstar, Koffee, plus one of the most popular afrobeats artists, Tekno, and Cuban legend, Jacob Forever, on the stage for the Afro-Carib Festival in Miramar, Florida

The Haitian hitmaker, J.Perry, has made his home at the top of the Haitian music charts. The preternatural songsmith has propelled Haitian music onto the world stage with the Haitian song of the decade “Dekole” which shattered local airplay records and inspired the theme song of the 2012 Haitian carnival “Ayiti ap Dekole.”

Dekole traveled outside of the small island country, with Brazilian songstress Claudia Leitte performing a remix featuring J.Perry. His track “Boujé” with Admiral T is a favorite on the club scene for its high energy and contagious rhythms.

J.Perry’s lyrics touch on everything from having a good time to the struggles many Haitians face due to widespread economic strife. His music is lively, energetic and poignant, often earning comparisons to Trinidadian soca megastar, Kes.

The Haitian and wider Caribbean American communities are encouraged to come support and be entertained by J.Perry and other Caribbean acts at this Saturday’s third annual Afro-Carib Festival in Miramar.
