The Marine Branch of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force has intercepted a sloop attempting to transport 107 irregular migrants, comprising 96 males and 11 females.
The incident unfolded on Thursday, just 0.25 miles off South Dock.

The Maritime Operations Centre played a pivotal role in coordinating the interception of the vessel.
The operation saw the deployment of two Police Marine Vessels, the Sea Pursuit, and the Sea Guardian, as they worked in tandem to thwart this illegal attempt at migration.

Acting Commissioner of Police Rodney Adams commended the unwavering dedication exhibited by the Marine Branch officers in effectively addressing and managing such incidents.
