Trinidad & Tobago considers international assistance for oil spill

Trinidad & Tobago’s government is considering seeking foreign assistance to tackle an oil spill crisis that has hit Tobago. 

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley made the disclosure during a recent news conference.

Identification efforts

Rowley shared that efforts are underway to identify the vessel responsible for the spill, which began last Wednesday. 

Dr. Rowley emphasized collaborative endeavors with both local and foreign energy companies to gather additional information.
