Armed man shot by Broward Sheriff Deputies in Oakland Park

A man was shot by deputies during a tense encounter Sunday afternoon in Oakland Park. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call about a suspicious individual near East Oakland Park Boulevard and Northeast 6th Avenue just before 6 p.m. Upon approaching the man, deputies found that he was armed with a weapon.
