October 7th: deadline to register to vote for General Election

The State of Florida voter registration deadline for the November 5th General Election is Monday, October 7th.  Eligible voters are encouraged not to wait.  Register to vote today!

You can register to vote in one of the following ways:

  • Online at https://registertovoteflorida.gov/home
  • In person or by mail, if it is postmarked by October 7th:
    • Elections Department Main Office, which will remain open on Monday, October 7th from 8 a.m. – Midnight
    • Elections Department Branch Office, will be open on Monday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

By using the Voter Information tool, voters can check their current voter registration status, confirm their current Election Day precinct, and view their customized sample ballot.

Know before you go!  The customized sample ballot will be a sample of your specific ballot and contain the races and questions that apply to you.  Voters should print it or take a picture of it so they can make their selections in advance. Doing research will make them an informed and confident voter. This will also speed up the process for them and everyone else in line!

Lastly, as a reminder, per a change in Florida law, all vote-by-mail requests expired on December 31st, 2022. Voters who want to vote by mail for this election are required to renew their request.  It takes less than three minutes to request a ballot online.  Voters are encouraged to do this immediately.
