Rangpur Riders reveal strong squad for inaugural Global Super League

The Rangpur Riders have unveiled their squad for the 2024 ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL), scheduled to take place at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence from November 26 to December 7.

Led by a mix of seasoned Bangladeshi internationals and overseas stars, the team aims to make a strong impact in the tournament’s inaugural season.

Bangladesh internationals Nurul Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Afif Hossain, and Mahedi Hasan headline the squad, bringing a wealth of experience to the Riders. Joining them are overseas players Matthew Forde from the West Indies, England’s Wayne Madsen and Zak Chappell, and Harmeet Singh from the USA.

The Riders’ full 2024 GSL line-up includes: Nurul Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Mahedi Hasan, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Saif Hassan, Rishad Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Kamrul Islam, Matthew Forde (West Indies), Harmeet Singh (USA), Wayne Madsen (England), Zak Chappell (England).

The Global Super League, an annual T20 event, brings together five international teams to compete for a US $1 million prize pool across 11 matches. This year, the line-up of competing teams includes the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Hampshire Hawks, Lahore Qalandars, Rangpur Riders, and Victoria.
